2018 Helping Your Medically Complex Patients Become Disaster Ready

Disaster preparedness is a critical aspect to reducing the damage caused by natural or man-made disasters. Persons who are dependent upon medical equipment have unique challenges that must be anticipated for effective disaster preparedness. The presenter will provide an overview of the medically complex patient as well as identify how the respiratory therapist can assist these patients remain in the home with adequate resources during a disaster.
