2018 Understanding Portable Oxygen Concentrators: A Patient Driven Modality

Supplemental oxygen in the home is essential to many patients with chronic pulmonary disease. However, selecting the appropriate system can be difficult and the selection should include input from a respiratory therapist who understands the devices. This presentation will discuss various oxygen delivery modes, limitations of portable oxygen concentrators, and factors that impact the delivery of oxygen from a portable oxygen concentrator.
